With all deep intentions,

at times you just miss

some superficial expression

As if !

You cover the distance,

but miss the milestone.

but miss the sky.

Is it all about expression,

with nothing to intention?

No! not at all ,

Intention is the substance

Expression, merely a form

Intention is the essence,

Expression, just a face,

Intention adds the flavour

Expression, only fragrance

Intentions complete the equation

expression just lifts the line,

with no affect on inclination

Additive, you may call an expression

Just go along, cover the distance

sail through seas, fly up in the sky

with purity of intentions

eventually evolving genuine expression

But all these theories have validation

only if you Believe me! you Trust me!

More than often, I come across talented people whose minds are conditioned to live preferably in the realms ‘ where competition is everything ?’; getting domination over others (esp. over people in immediate circle) – an approach which is based on a seemingly flawless strategy of “If he can do it why can’t I ?”. This approach is a medicine, which if not taken with care, may result in side-effects. A saying from Anthony Robbins may help us learn another lesson of life:“It’s not the events of our lives that shape us, but our beliefs as to what those events mean.” – Anthony Robbins

The  side-effects become more apparent, when you come across someone whose life is better shaped by those beliefs which he possesses –  but as we live in a world, mostly populated with reasonable minds but always steered by unreasonable minds; in an effort to figure out reasons, we only end up analyzing his personality based on his academics, experience, environment and any such apparent thing which can make our task of analysis easier. It leads to formulating an incomplete equation – as it only takes into account those variables which are outside with no consideration to those, which are more important i.e. what lies inside – the belief he carries and the lessons he has learnt. The lessons, which he learnt while living in a world where others too dwell but the lessons learnt may have more wider applications then the small world where he was living. To complete the equation, it is important that the analysis and judgement are more based on “what he has become ?” rather than “what he possesses ?”

As John Ruskin puts it “The highest reward for a man’s toil is not what he gets for it but what he becomes by it.”

Living a life, having regard only for being in never ending competition in terms of materialistic possessions while not taking into account the strategy of  ” going for excellence” ; leads to unhappiness – as the focus of your activities is shifted more towards getting something out of them rather than becoming someone – having a life more worthy of living. A life in which materialistic possessions do not take precedence over spiritual possessions; a life, which can make a positive difference to the life of others.

To live a life more worthy of living – the journey starts with a focus on ” going for excellence ” and becoming something ” more valuable “, this never-ending journey must go on with an approach to make a positive difference to the real world – as what ultimately matters is what we deliver ? and even the beliefs & lessons which we carry are means to be equipped with rightly, not an end .“What we think, or what we know, or what we believe, is, in the end, of little consequence. The only consequence is what we do.”

To be equipped with effective tools of thoughts & beliefs – it is necessary to have questions with a mindset of objectivity and inquisitiveness which will lead to answers either by inspiration, thinking, reading or experimenting. In order to figure out real world solutions, the task may require you to penetrate and dig deeper and deeper into imaginary world (with knowledge of the real world)

One question, which has been bouncing around in my mind from the last few days, has to deal with a situation when you are in deep into your thoughts and making a picture based on imagination and real world knowledge – the situation demands your mind to get partially disconnected from the real world and here comes the problem! As it is easier to explain answers to those questions which you have already figured out but for those questions which take you so deep into imaginary world on-spot – that immediate explanation in the real world becomes a hectic task and you find yourself loss of words to explain the picture, you have just created. May be a multi-purpose scanner-printer machine (capable of scanning and printing simultaneously) provides some of inspiration.

P.S.: As I shared this article on my facebook profile, I was informed by one of my sincere friends that the last line of your article i.e. “…. am I or are the others crazy ?” is too harsh. Well, it’s just a question and no offence is meant; to be honest – so far I consider myself as CRAZY…:-) that’s why remain humble to learn getting adjusted into this world…. Moving in tunnel, hoping for light

Just sitting over the roof of my house in a sunny morning, where I was able to have a clear view of a bustling road laden with various vehicles driven by an interesting creature named as “Human”. This sight was not very near to me; rather my vision had to cross a large vacant field (only filled by some dispersed shrubs). But that was not all about my sight; it also included another interesting creature called birds. Quite interestingly, this sight drove my thoughts to the two types of traffics or motions I was observing simultaneously i.e. one of birds flying in all directions and the other one of human made chattels. What difference was there between the two traffics? A question sparked in my mind and I was urged in the next moments of my life to start figuring out the answer and there I was immersed in that sight.

Birds must be flying to find some stuff for their own use and their dependants. Although, they were moving for others also but their moves were driven by themselves. Their actions depicted their own thoughts and desires. Is there anything that could take them carried away (other than any physical interaction)? I was astonished to discover the uncluttered originality and purity they had but before getting completely immersed in the thoughts of birds’ world, a noisy horn diverted my attention towards the other more bustling traffic. Now, was I still able to draw the same conclusions of purity and originality of thoughts and desires for the creature driving this traffic? It did not take me too long me to say a big “NO!” to myself. The moves by this creature (i.e. human) were not driven by themselves and for most of the actions I could not say that they depicted the originality and purity of own is thoughts and desires. Yes, that is how most of us live with this reality but never try to dig into the mud to discover ourselves and our freshness of thoughts clad only with originality of our beliefs.
Right from the first few moments of our life, we start learning to live a life in this world, crowded not only with over six billion people but also by thoughts and beliefs (which are even greater in numbers). As we grow up, we keep on learning and learning from various sources (environment, experiences, people etc.) and keep on developing the thoughts and beliefs in our minds. But that is not enough, the tyranny comes when we live a life not of our own but only driven by others and that is when it starts extinguishing the fire inside us till the last glowing flame. We get lost in a world of others and not of our own; our actions are no more of our own and so as our desires are no more of our own.
How should we get out of this crowded place and get to our own world? For this we need to discover ourselves and isolate our own thoughts and beliefs; without having any regard for other views, beliefs and opinions (as for us now, these are just to extinguish the fire inside us). We have been learning to learn but now we also have to learn to unlearn. As we have to clear the thick layer of dirt, which has cluttered our originality and purity. All this is possible, when we do something which energizes us and ultimately fuels the fire inside us. As we are ready to live a life for others but shall no more be leading a life of others. We now step into the crowded world again; but this time more prepared and equipped with our own beliefs, thoughts and burning desires. Now, our actions define us as we go forth in pursuit of our dreams. We start distinguishing ourselves amongst the six billion plus people. We are exclusive and no more a mere part of common subsets that exist all across the world. Only some of our desires, thoughts and beliefs can be a part of subsets but not the whole of our personality. We are determined to change things as we are firm to change ourselves. We are more audacious and prepared to even sail through uncharted waters; as now our imagination is more powerful than the beliefs of others around us, but at the same time we are also prepared to learn from others with an open mind which is not pre-occupied. Now, we no more exist to move through a way which is only lit by others, instead we adopt our own path lit only by the fire inside us and that is our own Burning Desire – The FIRE Within !!

I want to be a Winner of My Own Criteria…!!

Our desire for success makes us progress and work to meet the criteria this world has set for Success. When we begin to live, we begin to learn and we start living in a world where they have already set criteria for us.

If we have to go school, we have to fulfil a criteria; if we have to pass exams, we have to fulfil criteria and we have to win, we have to fulfil criteria. For others, you are a failure if you don’t fulfil the criteria and since we become more tuned to listen what others say about us; we start believing what is being said about us. Our actions follow the beliefs we carry and we continue to head only in the direction which has not been set by us. Our desire for success makes us live for these criteria and we keep on moving on the path which is well defined with every milestone mentioning its own criterion. In our journey through this path, we may end up doing the same things which have already been done before and we never know that we have somehow missed the courage to explore what remains yet to be explored. In our race to fulfil these criteria; we miss all the important essence of this life; a life of imagination, a life of diversity, a life of journey through uncharted waters.

There are always voices around us, noise around us and it is we who have to decide whether we let these voices take control of us or we take control of these voices and like a plant, which despite presence of numerous contents in air, intakes only those which are beneficial for it; we should absorb what is beneficial for us. In order to judge what is beneficial for us, we have to set our own criteria which is congruent to the vision we have set for ourselves keeping in view our own passion and ambition. This is where we become inquisitive about our very own-selves and the answer only lies in listening to your ‘Inner Voice’. This is a wave which might have been long suppressed by loads of external voices and criterion, but once we know the magnitude of energy it carries, it gets more and more stronger. Like the phenomenon of interference of waves which may result in constructive or destructive interference, a mechanism starts developing and our intuition becomes well configured with this mechanism and like a filter, our thoughts and mindset only allows those waves (external voices) to interfere with our Inner voice which can interfere constructively and make our inner voice more stronger and energetic. As these waves carry energy, they make us more capable, courageous and convinced to move in our own direction and here we go to explore what has never been explored. On the way, we set new milestones which may become inspiration for others as well.

In any field whether science, politics, art or any other domains; those who stand out amongst millions and billions of people, all had the courage to listen to their inner voice and the wisdom to differentiate constructive and destructive waves.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ATTITUDE

What makes a person a champion whether he is a singer, an artist, a student, a teacher or a business man or any other professional you think of? Some may say its hardwork that gives you a rise, some may say your talent will raise chances of your success, some give credit to luck and others may regard courage to take you to higher level. Loads of opinions and all may appear right but we may never come precisely on what exactly is required.
Whatever you do!! To become a champion go for excellence, not success; as success finds its way to excellence. Your desire and perseverance to attain excellence will make you realize that you are enriched not by what you attain, but how you long to attain it.
To make your journey easier, I suggest you to focus on three things: Knowledge, Skills and Attitude. These are the three pillars; you need to design and build, so as to achieve excellence and thus success.
Knowledge (K) plays its role as of foundation, basic building block and also supports the other two pillars, Skills (S) help in doing things effectually and plays a very visible role in dominating over others and becoming competent (like communication and presentation skills help in convincing others and taking the edge) whereas Attitude (A) plays a front line role and is a major driver for converting potential energy into Kinetic energy. If you have K and S but negative A, then still a lot remains to be done for achieving success. There are many people who desire to gain knowledge and become skilled, yet they remain far behind in their journey to excellence even from those who have lesser K and S. It’s mainly Attitude, which makes the difference as it acts as a multiplier to the other two additives i.e. K and S. This simply means A can turn the whole equation zero.

Moreover, Attitude is one thing that is very common in its application. In whatever field it is applied; let it is sports, job, teaching or travelling – it becomes a reflection of your personality. If you are positive and courageous in any field, it is very likely that you are habitually positive. That is why one must have a source of energy which keeps you going and help you keep the attitude right. Discover your passion and do what you love to do; it can be in sports, art, religion or whatever you feel passionate about (even if your passion is not your profession). Everyone has multiple roles to play in life, whether you are a student, teacher, sportsman, doctor, engineer, scientist; good thing about attitude is, in every field almost the same sort of attitude (positive) required to achieve success, as they rightly say “ATTITUDE DRIVES TO ALTITUDE”. So if you have been a good sportsman and currently managing your own business, being a good sportsman will certainly be a strong point for having success in your hands. Also, if you are having a bad time in business but you are doing well in sports – that will help you keep going positively in business as well.

Knowledge and skills define the area of expertise, specialization and field in which you are playing. To be the champion in your field, you have to strengthen these pillars, not only by gaining knowledge and mastering skills but also being creative, which will help in exploring new areas, new knowledge. Creativity and innovation has played major contribution in the lifes of individuals and nations for taking edge; it has proved to be the only short cut available for success.

Knowledge not only supports vertically but also horizontally by supporting and strengthening the other two pillars also. Having knowledge of your field will help you strengthening your skills and developing a positive frame of mind with attitude.

Last but not least; you must have a vision, an image of your future as it is vision which strengthens all the three pillars simultaneously and interconnects them by fusing all your strengths.
